Pan-African Air Cargo & Logistics Platform

Connecting a
Continent. Overnight.

Delivering Africa its freedom.

Lopolla is building Africa's first dedicated intra-African cargo airline — enabling reliable, next-morning delivery across 45 countries from our hub at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi.

The Company
The infrastructure Africa's
trade demands
Africa has 1.4 billion people, 54 nations, and the fastest-growing economies on earth. Yet cargo shipped between African cities often transits through Dubai, Istanbul, or Amsterdam — adding days and cost to every shipment. The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) has created the policy framework for intra-African trade. The physical infrastructure to move goods has not kept pace.
Lopolla addresses this gap directly. Operating an all-Boeing freighter fleet in a hub-and-spoke network centred on Nairobi, with secondary hubs in Lagos and Johannesburg, Lopolla provides time-definite overnight cargo delivery across the continent. Our interline model complements global carriers — Emirates, Qatar Airways, Lufthansa, and others deliver international freight to Nairobi; Lopolla distributes it across Africa.
Beyond the airline, Lopolla is developing a digital logistics platform integrating cargo booking, real-time tracking, customs pre-clearance through AfCFTA’s ADAPT system, and a trade facilitation engine — creating the operating system for African commerce.

The Network
Hub-and-spoke. Overnight sort-and-fly.
Lopolla's network follows the proven model pioneered by FedEx: cargo arrives at the central hub in the evening, is sorted overnight, and departs on outbound flights before dawn — delivering across the continent by morning.
01

Overnight Delivery

Inbound flights arrive at JKIA between 8pm and midnight. Cargo is sorted during a 4–6 hour overnight window. Outbound flights depart between 4am and 8am, enabling next-morning delivery across the continent.

02

100,000 Collection Points

Collection/Distribution Points (CDPs) — micro-enterprise agents at mobile money kiosks, pharmacies, and community hubs — receive and distribute parcels in locations with no formal addressing system, reaching the last mile.

03

Cold Chain Infrastructure

GDP-compliant pharmaceutical cold chain (2–8°C and −20°C) at all three hubs and 30 stations across the network, addressing the WHO-documented 20–30% vaccine wastage crisis in African logistics.

04

Interline Integration

Lopolla complements global airlines rather than competing with them. International carriers deliver to Nairobi; Lopolla distributes across Africa. Every widebody landing at JKIA is a revenue opportunity, not a competitive threat.

05

Digital Trade Platform

Real-time cargo tracking, automated customs pre-clearance via AfCFTA’s ADAPT platform, dynamic capacity allocation, and a digital marketplace connecting African businesses to the continental logistics network.

06

Mobile Money Settlement

Integrated payment infrastructure across M-Pesa, MTN Mobile Money, Orange Money, and Airtel Money — enabling cash-on-delivery e-commerce settlement for the 60–70% of African transactions that require it.
